My name is Danielle, and I wanted to share my DivaCup story.
I wear many hats, as the wife of a preservationist band leader. My husband’s orchestra plays the music of the 1920s and 30s – I’m here to provide the necessary artwork, costumes, moral support… and dancing. I specialize in the Charleston, performing this high-kicking, strenuous dance at all of the shows. It happened that my first time performing with the group coincided with my period – that is, my first period using The DivaCup. I was terribly nervous, but knew that the show had to go on! I’d read the many testimonials in favor of The DivaCup’s ability to “hold up” during physical exercise, so I decided to give it my best. I’m attaching a link to a video of that very dance, to show *in action* an example of what your wonderful product can manage! Keep in mind that this was at the heaviest point of my cycle – and there were no leaks, discomfort, or problems. I was SOLD from that point on, and tell women about The DivaCup as often as I can. It’s an amazing product.
Now, I have a completely different view of my period, thanks to The DivaCup. The cramps that used to leave me in bed for a day are almost nonexistent now. I’ve never had an issue with leaking since making that change. And I LOVE the fact that I can wear it on “unsure” days leading up to my period – impossible with a tampon. I cannot thank you all enough – you’ve made so many activities possible for me again – there is NO WAY I could have danced like that confidently back in the “tampon days”.
Here is the aforementioned video – my own testimonial in action!

I am a Soldier in the United States Army and I would like to share with you how useful and liberating the Divacup has been for me! I have a pretty tough job and I really need a menstrual product that goes above and beyond in protection. From long days and nights in the office to missions out to remote areas, this little baby held up. During deployment the bathroom facilities can be questionable, and the selection of menstrual products isn’t great, even under the best circumstances. For physical training we run, lift weights and do sit-ups (with males holding our feet–AAHHH!) and it never leaked and never made me uncomfortable. The space-saving factor to this thing is amazing. When you are authorized only one bag to go somewhere you need all the space you can get! Through big issues like countless hours of international travel, to (barely) smaller ones like privacy and dignity in a male-dominated profession, the Divacup faithfully served me well and I would recommend it to any woman who wants the best, most convenient menstrual protection available. Thank you so much!!

Last year I decided I was finally fed up with pads. They leaked, they smelled, they were gross. It was that dripping feeling that was the last straw. I started researching alternatives. I had tried tampons, and that was one of the most miserable days of my life, because of the dryness. I was mostly looking at the birth controls that let you have 4 periods a year… but I’m horrible at remembering to take pills. Then I found information about the DivaCup. I really couldn’t believe all the rave reviews until I came to one by an archaeologist, who said it was amazing for being away from normal bathroom facilities. I’m a geology student, and periods in the middle of nowhere are pretty much the worst thing ever. (Well, besides tampons.) This review sealed the deal for me; I had to have one. Not going to lie, it took me two months to figure the thing out. But when I did, the world became my oyster. I started taking swimming lessons for the first time since I was a kid. I could ride a bike without fear of leaks. I wasn’t checking for red stripes. I’m leaving for a month long geology field trip soon, and I’m just so happy I won’t be out there still using pads. Thank you, archaeologist reviewer. I will probably never meet you, but you changed my life.

I started using The DivaCup because I loved the concept of having less waste. I was working in a health food store that carried the product. I felt that in order to help sell this product, I would have try it firsthand – I was skeptical at first, but continued to research and try it out. I am an avid horseback rider, and was worried about how it would work for me. I then had my second child in 2006, and as soon as I started getting my period back, I was back on my DivaCup! At one time, we had to go into a hospital out of our town, as an emergency. Unfortunately that time of the month arrived, and I had forgotten my DivaCup at home and was reduced to using tampons. The tampons leaked and I had to use pads as well. What a mess!!! I couldn’t believe how much I missed my no-fuss DivaCup! Now I am ready no matter what and keep it with me in my purse….wouldn’t want to be caught without it again! Thanks DivaCup!!!

I first heard of The DivaCup last September when I was in California. At first I was skeptical about the idea but decided to research it anyway. It was a safe product that could reduce waste and was easy to use. In my active world and lifestyle it seemed too good to be true, but then I talked to my doctor and got her opinion on The DivaCup. I decided to give it a try not knowing what to expect and if I would have success in using it. I have to say the first time I used it I over analyzed it thinking it would have to be more complicated to be such a revolutionary product. I was wrong. The DivaCup fit nicely into place without any discomfort. The best thing is that The DivaCup works with my crazy lifestyle. It has been nine months since I used a tampon and I feel great that I am decreasing my feminine waste.

My 15 year old daughter told me about The DivaCup. I bought one for her and one for me. Wow! I am 47 and I ask you….where have you been all my life?
Love it!!
I couldn’t believe it when my daughter told me about this menstrual cup she saw online. She said, “Mom, you have to check this out here online.” I was like, “No way…yuk! I don’t think so…I don’t even like tampons!”
We are a very ecofriendly family, and try to compost and recycle as much as possible. We like to help save the earth as much as we can.
One morning while my daughters were in school I decided to go online and read about The DivaCup…needless to say I was amazed! I thought hey, maybe this wouldn’t be so bad, but, “Will it work for me?” was the question.
I am close to being in my menopausal years and my periods are heavier now than they were when I was younger. I had my doubts that the cup would work without leaking.
When my daughter came home that day from school, she asked me again if we could go buy one for her. I decided if she is going to use one, then so am I….let’s get two!
My daughter needed hers the following week, but I didn’t need mine for about 3 weeks. She loved it and said that although it took a learning curve, it is so convenient compared to disposable products.
Although I tried The DivaCup out a few times before my period started, it still took practice putting it in properly during my period for the first month. I have used it now for 3 months and, well what can I say, other than, “I love it!”
My daughter is very excited about it and loves it also.
I have another daughter who is younger and wishes to use one when the time comes….3 cheers for the menstrual cup….Diva Diva Diva!!!
We want to tell everyone we know how great The DivaCup really is!

I am glad to see that so many women are embracing The DivaCup!! Believe it or not my boyfriend found it in a store and asked me what it was. I looked at the box and almost cried! Then I was super upset because it had been around since the 1930s! WHY WAS I NOT TOLD ABOUT THIS?!? I am sure every girl on here has casually, as a favour, checked your friend’s butt as they walk in front of you to see if they are leaking. Well, I am 27 and don’t have any friend walking the halls with me at work to make sure I am still “OK.” Well, because of the fab DivaCup, I will never worry again.
I have read about girls complaining on these forums that they leaked and the only reason that I can find is that they didn’t take the time to double check that it was fully open. I have a heavy period and NO LEAKS and NO MESS.
I love the fact that it is even in small town Killarney, MB. I have told every woman I know about this product and sent them all links and told them to get over the creepiness of the cup; if you can insert a tampon, you can insert the cup!
Women enjoy your freedom and be proud that you are in an age where this product is available. My mom missed out, but I sure as heck won’t! And neither will any women I know!
I AM a proud DivaCup user!!

I went to a website to read up on menstrual cycles and I came across alternative products to tampons and pads. So I checked it out, read up on it thoroughly. I also read every single testimonial before I actually decided to give it a try.
Today was the first day of my cycle which is always the worst day, not to mention my period lasts between 7 to 10 days, my heaviest days being the first 5 days. WOW!!! This is the best thing ever.
I wasn’t nervous to use it at all, I read so much that I knew what to expect and honestly nothing terrible went wrong. It went in very easily and comfortably. I kept it in for only a few hours before taking it out. I could have waited a few more hours but I really wanted to know what it was going to feel like taking it out and how messy it would be. Not hard to take out at all, no pain what so ever and no mess. I reached over rinsed off my hands after dumping what there was in the toilet. Washed it off with warm soap and water and back in it went. I even used a pad just in case it would leak…. no leaks! Nothing! I can’t say enough about how awesome this is so far for me.
I’m telling every woman I know about this product and I honestly hope they give it a try. Not only am I going to save money, but also I won’t have to stock up at home, at work and my purse each month with pads and tampons. I couldn’t be happier! Tonight will be the ultimate test for me.

As an avid softball player and all around athlete, having my period never got in the way of my playing, but it did get in the way of my comfort. Between games I found myself running to the bathrooms (sometime even gross outhouses) between games. Of course, wearing white pants didn’t help my discomfort either. This obviously wasn’t my ideal way of dealing with my period, but it was the only way I knew. I wasn’t quiet happy about tampons leaking, and pads shifting so I began to search for an alternate way to deal with my period. I was on a women’s health forum when I finally found the answer, The DivaCup. At first I was disgusted by the idea but after reading it, I started to really want one. Right before the softball season started, I got the courage to ask my mom for one, she was a bit hesitant at first, then bought it for me. The DivaCup has definitely changed my life. Now it doesn’t matter what time of the month it is when I go to an out of country tournament, or when I have a double header. I’m confident no matter what. My mom is also very satisfied with The DivaCup and the amount of money it has saved her, she even bought one for herself. I have recommended The DivaCup to all of my friends, and even switched the girls on my team over to The DivaCup. Everyone deserves to have a happy period, and disposable pads and tampons just aren’t the way.
